G.C. Zarnas completed the coatings work on the newly constructed Guernsey Power Plant in Ohio, the largest natural-gas-powered facility in the United States that was built in a single phase, designed to last 30 years. The plant is also one of the world’s cleanest-burning, most reliable plants!
The three gas-driven turbine units at the Guernsey Power Station can produce 625 megawatts totaling 1,875 megawatts of power at any time. Because of it’s efficiency, the plant is expected to operate at a base load year-round.
Gemma Power Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Argan, Inc., was responsible for the plant’s engineering, procurement, and construction.
